We are hiring a driven and skilled Sales Prospector and Closer to accelerate our growth trajectory and be a pivotal part of our exciting journey.
Position Overview:
As the Sales Prospector and Closer, you will be crucial in driving our business forward by identifying and engaging potential customers and closing deals. Your experience in the golf industry and exceptional sales acumen will help us expand our customer base to achieve our ambitious growth targets.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Utilize your expertise to identify and target potential customers in North America (15,000+ golf courses). This includes individual golf courses, golf communities, and multi-course operators. Leverage various resources, your personal network, and research techniques to build a robust pipeline of potential leads. Work with marketing and sales support to fill the top of the funnel with prospects.
- Lead Engagement: Contact potential customers through cold calls, emails, and other outreach methods. Understand their pain points, needs, and challenges related to golf operations or services.
- Campaign Engagement: Work with marketing and sales support to develop engaging campaigns to advance customers through the buyer journey.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to communicate their value proposition to potential customers effectively. Tailor your approach to showcase how our offerings can address specific pain points and bring tangible benefits to their operations.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the golf industry. Act as a trusted advisor by demonstrating your expertise and knowledge of the golf operations landscape.
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with potential customers to co-create tailored solutions that align with their business goals. Compellingly present our products and services, highlighting their unique features and advantages.
- Deal Closing: Utilize your persuasive skills to negotiate terms, overcome objections, and close deals. Work closely with the leadership team to ensure seamless contract negotiations and execution.
- Market Insights: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the golf industry. Provide valuable insights to the team to shape our sales and marketing strategies.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, client interactions, and sales progress using our CRM system.
- Key Performance Indicators: Manage and update KPIs as lead indicators of success and make real-time adjustments to meet or exceed assigned goals and targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, focusing on prospecting and deal closure. Previous experience in the golf industry is a strong advantage.
- Experience selling SaaS software and technology.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You can build rapport with potential clients and understand their needs effectively. You listen more than you talk.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for understanding complex client challenges and crafting tailored solutions.
- Self-motivated and results-driven. You thrive in a dynamic startup environment and are passionate about contributing to our growth.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools to manage and track leads and opportunities.
- A genuine passion for golf and a solid understanding of the golf industry’s dynamics and players.
