LAKE PARK, FLORIDA — Justin James became the first repeat winner on the World Long Drive tour at WLD Connecticut. James launched a 418-yard drive during the event, the longest recorded, and drives of 403 and 387 in the finals secured his victory.
James used JumboMax Tour Series (XL) grips in the event, and with the win he moved to No. 3 in the World Long Drive Rankings. Two of the top-3 players in the World Long Drive Rankings, including the No. 1-ranked player, are currently using JumboMax Grips.
In the Women’s Division, Kelly Rudney recorded a top-4 finish as well as the longest drive of the event (345 yards). Rudney uses JumboMax JMX STR8 Tech UltraLite (XS) swing grips.
Andrew Eigner, who is currently No. 1 in the World Long Drive Amateur Rankings, also uses JumboMax JMX STR8 Tech UltraLite (XS).
“The number of players using JumboMax grips on the World Long Drive tour has skyrocketed over the last two years as the fields have become deeper and more competitive,” said JumboMax President John Mazzanoble.
“Justin and so many others in these fields are proof that JumboMax Grips offer an advantage in both speed and consistency, Mazzanoble added. “It’s time to retire the myth that bigger grips will slow golfers down or cause them to miss right. If that were the case, the men and women on the WLD wouldn’t be switching to JumboMax and setting personal records.”
