JumboMax® Team Member Bryson DeChambeau captures victory at the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, The Northern Trust
(JUPITER, FL) – JumboMax® Grips announced today that Tour Staff Professional, Bryson DeChambeau, captured his third PGA TOUR victory this past weekend in the opening round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the Northern Trust, held at Ridgewood CC in Paramus, NJ.
DeChambeau fired rounds of 68, 66, 63 and 69 to finish at 18 under par and capture a 4 stroke victory. He ranked 1st in Total Strokes Gained (15.572), 1st in Birdies with 24, T-1st in Greens in Regulation (81.94%), and 5th in Driving Distance for the tournament.
DeChambeau sat down before the press, with the tournament and FedExCup trophies in front of him, and was asked what he likes most about his work. “It’s being able to step up to a shot like I did on 17 today, knowing it’s a difficult tee shot, and executing it exactly the way I wanted to,” said DeChambeau. “That’s what brings me joy and that’s why I work so hard, and all this other stuff is fantastic and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but the No. 1 thing that makes me happy is seeing a golf ball go exactly the way I felt it should go.”
This victory earned him a paycheck of $1.6 million dollars and 2000 FedEx Cup Points, catapulting him to 1st Place in the FedEx Cup Standings with just three tournaments left in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
