LAKE MARY, FL – Timacuan Golf & Country Club will conduct three junior golf camps this summer for kids aged 7 to 9 years old.
Each camp will last four days, five hours per day (9 a.m.-2 p.m.). Topics include full swing, short game, putting, and on-course learning. Golf professional Brian Woodrow will oversee the instruction.
Camp dates are June 21-24, July 12-15, and August 2-5. Space is limited to six juniors for each camp, so please call 407-321-0010, ext. 2 to register right away.
The price for each camp is $250 for Timacuan members’ children and $300 for non-members. Lunch each day is included in the fee.
Timacuan has been among the most popular courses in Central Florida since opening in 1988. Having ranked in the top 14 golf courses in Florida, Timacuan has hosted dozens of national and international competitions. U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell is among its fans.
“I really enjoyed the golf course,” said McDowell, after playing in the annual $10,000 Timacuan Scramble. “It is a great layout with a links-like feel to it. It can be testy in places if you get off the beaten path, but it is a very fair course.”
Timacuan Golf & Country Club is a semi-private facility that embraces both the public community as well as their long-standing, family centric membership. Along with Foley Performance Academy, Timacuan is committed to advancing the game of golf through education and instruction.
