KANSAS CITY, MO. – JW Fisher, General Manager of T-Shotz, a restaurant, golf and entertainment facility in Kansas City, has been named “General Manager of the Year” by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association. Fisher received the award at the Gilbert/Robinson Leadership and Awards Dinner, held on October 3rd at Johnson County Community College, which is home to extensive food and beverage management and hospitality management programs.
The prestigious General Manager of the Year award recognizes individuals who set the standard of excellence in the hospitality industry. Winners were selected based on the nominations from the facilities. Following nominations, officers on the board of directors selected the winner from the pool of nominees. Winners and supporters were in attendance at the Gilbert/Robinson award’s dinner which honored and recognized individuals in eleven different categories who set the highest level of achievement in the local hospitality industry.

Fisher, a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has overseen high-volume, event-driven operations in Kansas City, Chicago, and Cincinnati. He began working at T-Shotz in June of 2020, four months prior to the golf and entertainment facility’s October opening. Prior to T-Shotz, Fisher served as Director of Operations at Houlihan’s and Yard House Restaurants from 2016 to 2020.
