KATHY WHITWORTH ‘88’ GOLF TOURNAMENT ENTERS THIRD ROUND WITH A FIELD OF 44

The Kathy Whitworth ‘88’ Golf Tournament continues Friday, July 19  a total of 44 players.  The cut fell at +2 for the full field of 132 professional golfers.

The ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT), the official partner of the LPGA’s Epson Tour, is hosting the competition at Trophy Club CC, Trophy Club, TX.

As of Friday morning, the leaders were Mary Parsons (Canada,) Jacqueline Lucena (Gainesville, FL,) and Yeji Kwan (Canada.)  All three competitors are pictured below.

This year’s Kathy Whitworth ‘88’ tournament is even more significant as it falls within the Callaway Race To Stage 2 where the top five players earn membership status to the LPGA’s Epson Tour at the end of the April-August season.

The full field of golfers, who hail from 16 countries and 30 states, started on Wednesday, July 17.  Celebrating its sixth year, the competition has been renamed to pay homage to legendary golfer Kathy Whitworth’s unmatched 88 LPGA victories.

The tournament concludes on Saturday, July 20, and spectators are welcome to watch the action.  Admission is free.
