THE LODGE OF FOUR SEASONS NAMES KAY SAMUELSON DIRECTOR OF SALES
Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri (January 21, 2020) – The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri is pleased to announce that Kay Samuelson has been promoted to director of sales for the luxury resort property.
Samuelson began her career at The Lodge of Four Seasons in 2000 as an executive meeting manager. Throughout Samuelson’s 19-year career she has held nearly every sales position at the property, including sales manager, senior sales manager, associate director of group sales and, most recently, regional sales manager. Samuelson is a board member/associate member of MSAE, a member of ISAE’s (Illinois and Iowa), KCSAE, KSAE, MO Travel Alliance, and the SGMP MOCAP Chapter.
“Kay will be a fabulous addition to our property executive committee where I anticipate she will contribute greatly,” said Jim Cleary, chief operating officer, The Lodge of Four Seasons. “Her experience in lodging hospitality sales, knowledge of and love for The Lodge, and deep relationships with many very loyal and valuable clients, are key strengths of Kays.”
Samuelson has a long history with The Lodge of Four Seasons. Her parents came to the area in 1963 from St. Louis when The Lodge was being built. Harold Koplar, The Lodge’s founder, hired Samuelson’s mother and father to work at The Lodge in the early years. Samuelson, herself, worked at The Lodge during junior high, high school and her early college years in a variety of departments as many local teens did.
“I had the great fortune and pleasure to know Mr. Koplar way back then as a teenager,” said Samuelson. “I understand firsthand his genuine and kind nature towards all staff members, love for the lake area and passion for growing The Lodge and The Lake area as a destination for vacationers from near and far.”
