December 9, 2024

After an exciting final round KBS found itself in the Winner’s spot at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa. The winner had a C-Taper 130X shafts in his Ping irons. The 32-year-old Southern California native opened up his tournament campaign with a score of 70. The following round he shot a similar score of 71, but needed to improve going into the weekend. Saturday, he unfortunately didn’t improve and had to settle for a round of 73. Luckily for him all the players in the field shot similar scores to keep the top spot within reach. The final round was full of up’s a down’s, but the 32-year-old remained calm. He played a steady front nine to give himself a chance to take the lead. The back nine he made a couple of birdies to shot an impressive 69 and take the top spot. Now he had to wait an hour for his competition to finish to see if he would claim the victory. His toughest competition came from a 20-year-old player who needed a birdie to win or a par on the 18th hole to force a playoff. Fortunately for the KBS player the young golfer made a costly boggy to hand him over the championship. The 32-year-old golfer claimed the victory and his 2nd win on the DP World Tour. He said, “I didn’t have the best seasons the last few years — we’ve put a lot of work in, me and my team, countless hours. To start off this season with a win is indescribable”. A huge congratulations go out to the overall season winner and all the players in the field of the Nedbank Golf Challenge! | Player Driven. Tour Proven |
