The Red Label kicked off the 2022-2023 season with a statement win, claiming the Fortinet Championship once again, after winning the same event last year. The longtime KBS loyalist was a favorite going into the week and rightfully so, as he has been playing incredible golf over the last year. Down a stroke heading to the 18th hole, the champion made a miraculous chip-in birdie from just off the green to tie the lead and eventually go on to win as the leader made a closing bogey. This is the players fifth win on the PGA TOUR and fourth win in his last 41 starts. He is tied for the most wins on tour since January 2021.
