CARLSBAD, Calif. – KBS continued to make its presence felt on the LPGA Tour this weekend at the 2026 Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a field of just 77 players, including 65 international competitors, KBS equipment was represented throughout the leaderboard and across multiple equipment categories.
Leading the way for KBS was a runner-up finish at 20-under par, featuring KBS V-X Lite 95 shafts in the 5-iron through pitching wedge and V-X Lite 100 shafts in the wedges. Another strong performance resulted in a tie for third at 19-under par, with KBS TOUR Lite 95 shafts throughout the iron set.
A fifth-place finish at 17-under par showcased an extensive KBS setup featuring a TG Black 40 driver shaft, PGW fairway wood shafts, a Tour Proto hybrid shaft and PGI 80 iron shafts. Additional top-10 performances included a KBS Tour Proto hybrid shaft in an eighth-place finish, along with six more players tied for ninth utilizing various KBS iron, wedge and hybrid models.
Beyond the individual results, the equipment numbers tell an even bigger story. At least 30 of the 77 competitors carried complete sets of KBS iron shafts, while approximately 40–50 players had at least one KBS shaft in their bags. Twelve KBS players finished inside the top 10, with eight utilizing complete KBS iron sets.
The PGI graphite iron shaft led the way with 18 complete sets throughout the field. KBS also recorded five complete V-X Lite/V-X Proto sets, four TOUR/TOUR Lite sets, two TGI sets and one C-Taper set.
KBS’s international presence extended beyond Malaysia, with the TOUR Lite also represented at the 2026 BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea, further highlighting the brand’s continued presence across the LPGA Tour’s international schedule.
The results highlight the depth of the KBS lineup, from the lightweight stability of the V-X Lite to the steel-like performance of the PGI graphite series and the proven versatility of the TOUR family.
