The Red Label found itself in the bag of 3 of the Top 6 Finishers at the Players Championship in Florida. The Winner had the KBS Tour Putter shaft in his TaylorMade Spider putter. Once player is one of the most successful golfers in history, the other is a rising star who is looking for his third win, and the final player got the last-minute call up of lifetime. Thursday, the 3 players opened up their campaigns with two solid scores of 67 and a 73. The next round 2 of them shot 68 and the other a 70. Saturday, proved to a pressure cooker for the 3 players and they all shot in the 70’s with scores of 70, 73, and 75. All 3 players came into the final round on Sunday with a chance, but as the round got underway it would be the 35-year-old Irish veteran who rose to the top. He shot a 4-under 68 to tie to lead and force a playoff. Monday, the Irish golfer got off to a quick start on the first playoff hole with a birdie. His opponent got into trouble on the 2nd with a costly triple bogey, which gave the KBS golfer a 3-stroke lead heading into the last hole. A bogey was enough on the last for the Irish veteran to claim his 2nd Player Championship on St. Patrick’s Day. He now becomes the 8th golfer in tournament history to win the title multiple times.
