KBS Wins The 2026 Houston Children’s Open

March 30, 2026

In one of the most emotionally charged victories the PGA Tour has seen in years, a 41-year-old warrior silenced every doubt and proved that resilience can outgun youth on any given Sunday.

Firing a closing 3-under 67, the champion finished at 21-under 259, pulling away by five strokes on the Memorial Park Golf Course.

In his Cobra irons were The KBS C Taper shafts built for players who generate serious speed and demand precision under pressure. When the back nine tightened and the moment demanded everything, those shafts were delivering. Iron after iron found its mark, and the champion never flinched. This marks his fifth career PGA Tour victory and first since the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

In the bag of The Houston Children’s Open winner: KBS C-Taper 130 in his Cobra Irons.

LOW LAUNCH. LOW SPIN. SIGNATURE FEEL. The KBS C-Taper shaft is designed for players requiring a low piercing trajectory and superior shot control.
