The Red Label found itself at the top of the leaderboard after a difficult final round! The winner had KBS TD wood shafts in her Ping driver and 3 wood. Also, she had KBS C-Taper Lite 105 shafts in her Ping irons and wedges. The player opened up her campaign with a solid round of 69 and then followed with another score of 69 on Friday. Saturday, she improved with an impressive round of 66 to give herself a 1-stroke lead going into Sunday. The final round was full of up’s and down’s, putting the resilient KBS player to the test. She got off to a poor start on the front nine with double bogey’s on the 2nd and 4th holes. This left the door wide open for her competition to take over the top spot. Fortunately, her opponents didn’t capitalize and were never able to catch up to the KBS golfer. The leader turned her round around on the back nine by birdieing 3 of the final 5 holes to secure the victory. The 26-year-old had now won her 2nd victory on the LPGA Tour in only 3 weeks. This impressive accomplishment came at quite the surprise to the American. She said, “Two wins in three events is pretty crazy. If you would have told me (she’d have two wins) at the beginning of last year, I wouldn’t believe it. It’s incredible. It just shows how hard I’ve worked to get here”.
