West Palm Beach, Florida – Keiser University and the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) are pleased to announce a partnership designed to provide learning opportunities for veterans throughout the country.
The exclusive collaboration between Keiser University’s College of Golf (KUCOG) and the VGA will enable Veterans who are lovers of the sport to achieve their educational goals through both classroom and online learning opportunities. In addition, it offers Veterans the opportunity to learn from PGA professionals and to gain insights into employment opportunities in the golf industry while also enjoying the many therapeutic opportunities afforded by the game.
With over 14,000 members throughout the United States, the VGA comprises all military branches and is dedicated to enriching the lives of Veterans and their family members through the camaraderie and sportsmanship of golf. Annually, the VGA hosts more than 850 local tournaments across the country, culminating in a VGA National Championship each fall. The first golfing organization dedicated to promoting the game to all Veterans, the VGA is working tirelessly to create golfing programs that will keep Veterans, their family members, and children active in the game of golf for many years to come.
Keiser University’s Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in Golf Management and its Master of Science Degree in Golf Teaching and Learning prepare students for a wide variety of positions in the golf industry. The university’s College of Golf offers a 1,500-square-foot indoor training facility, which includes a putting area, advanced launch monitor technology, V-1 and Swing Guru video analysis systems, an interactive golf simulator powered by Sports Coach Systems, a Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade (MAT-T), and more. Students also enjoy a 6-acre outdoor on-campus golf range facility with 12 hitting stations, a 9,000 square foot putting green, and a 14,000 square foot chipping/pitching/bunker green.
