Lehigh Valley Public Course and Berks County Private Club Expand Company’s Northeast Region Footprint
NORTHBROOK, ILLINOIS, – KemperSports announced today that it’s been retained by the family business Jaindl Farms and Land Development to manage its two newest golf course acquisitions: The Club at Twin Lakes in Allentown, Pa., and Moselem Springs Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. At Twin Lakes, KemperSports will help renovate the course to accentuate its magnificent hills, natural topography and signature lakes while improving the clubhouse and golf shop operations and leading the facility’s rebranding efforts. At Moselem Springs, the KemperSports team will look to grow membership and lead long-term capital planning for the private club.
“Both Twin Lakes and Moselem Springs represent great additions to our growing collection of Northeast courses,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We’re excited to be working closely with the Jaindl family, a group that shares our core values and brings an inherent understanding of what these two facilities mean to the community as local business owners and residents themselves.”
The Jaindl family has a long history in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. Its businesses include Jaindl Farms (in operation since 1936), Jaindl Land Company, Jaindl Beverage (A-Treat) and Schantz Orchards. Jaindl Farms is one of the largest turkey producers in the U.S., delivering 840,000 turkeys to its customers last year. The family acquired Twin Lakes and Moselem Springs with a vision to bring back the rich tradition of golf in Lehigh Valley and invest in the community where they live and work.
Formerly known as Iron Lakes Country Club, The Club at Twin Lakes has long been recognized as one of the top public courses in Lehigh Valley. Opened in 1954 on the grounds of a former iron ore mine, Twin Lakes’ 6,400-yard, par-71 layout features four sets of tees for players of varying experience, sloping fairways and several scenic par-3 holes that play over water. The property also features a clubhouse, fully equipped golf shop, grill operation, driving range and reception facilities that are regarded as one of the Valley’s top choices for wedding receptions, corporate events and celebrations. The private club boasts a membership from across the Mid-Atlantic Region, as well as parts of New England, and has also hosted the 1996 and 2011 Pennsylvania Open Championship, 2005 and 2016 U.S. Open Qualifiers and is the annual host of the Hawley Quier Memorial.
