KemperSports Selected to Manage Lawrence Yacht and Country Club
NORTHBROOK, ILLINOIS, June 27, 2019 – KemperSports has been selected to manage Lawrence Yacht and Country Club in the Village of Lawrence, New York, located on the south shore of Long Island. The historic property has served as a gathering place for the community since 1924.
Village of Lawrence Mayor Alex H. Lawrence Yacht and Country Club features a pristine 18-hole, 6,324 yard course originally designed by Devereux Emmet, who was responsible for some of the most iconic golf designs in the northeast, including Congressional Country Club, Garden City Golf Club and Leatherstocking Golf Course. The course has seen extensive renovation through the decades to enhance play and showcase its beautiful natural surroundings. Additionally, members and their guests enjoy a state-of-the-art heated indoor and outdoor practice facility to keep their game sharp year-round.
The club also includes a clubhouse, lounge, full-service pro-shop and 135-slip marina on Bannister Creek as well as nine lighted Har-Tru tennis courts and two pickleball courts.
