Eastmoreland Golf Course and Rose City Golf Club to join Colwood Golf Center and Heron Lakes Golf Club under KemperSports management

NORTHBROOK, Ill.– KemperSports, a privately held sports, entertainment and hospitality company, announced today that it will expand its 15-year partnership with the City of Portland by adding two new Portland Parks Golf courses (under the Portland Parks & Recreation umbrella). KemperSports will begin managing Eastmoreland Golf Course and Rose City Golf Club, in addition to continuing management of Heron Lakes Golf Club and Colwood Golf Center.

KemperSports has managed Heron Lakes since 2008 and Colwood since 2014. During that time, both properties have proven to be model community golf facilities by delivering a premier and affordable golf experience, developing best-in-class player development programming, and bringing non-golf events to Portland residents.

“We are proud of our partnership with the City of Portland and the exceptional results we have achieved together over the last 15 years,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “From building a national award-winning player development program to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for new players, each of these courses represent our core value of being an engaged member of the communities where we operate. We are excited to add the beloved Eastmoreland and Rose City Golf Courses to this portfolio of great community assets.”

Over the last two years, KemperSports has assisted the City of Portland in the development of YA! Golf PDX, a free-to-join program designed to increase access to the game of golf by inviting people between the ages of 19 and 29 to play Portland Parks Golf courses at discounted rates and participate in bi-monthly group clinics and social events. Both properties serve as a host facility for the First Tee – Greater Portland, and Colwood was the recipient of the 2022 National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) Player Development Award.

KemperSports will leverage the institutional knowledge at Eastmoreland and Rose City in addition to its own vast municipal experience built over 40 years and proven success at Colwood and Heron Lakes to enhance the overall experience for residents and avid players by elevating the level of customer service and strengthening each facility’s player development programs.
