NORTHBROOK, Ill., – KemperSports, a property and experience management company that manages more than 130 sports, leisure and event facilities and destination resorts in 27 states, is pleased to welcome Steve Goris as its new senior vice president of KemperSports Venues. In this role, Goris will oversee the strategy, growth and operations for KemperSports’ new business unit dedicated to serving and supporting its expanding portfolio of youth sports and recreation facilities.
“Steve is a proven leader and savvy industry veteran who has spent much of his career providing oversight of sports facility development and operations,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “From co-founding and running the largest indoor sports complex in North America to developing some of the country’s newest sports and entertainment venues, Steve’s experience will be a trusted asset as we build KemperSports Venues into an industry leader.”
Most recently, Goris served as senior vice president of Vieste, LLC, leading the development of several sports and entertainment projects, including the soon-to-open Memphis Sports and Events Center. Prior to that, he served as vice president of planning and development for Sports Facility Management (SFM) after co-founding and working as chief operating officer of Spooky Nook Sports(Lancaster, Pa.), the largest indoor sports complex in North America.

Goris earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration – Finance/Accounting from the University of Toledo where he also played on the men’s volleyball team. Steve has since coached volleyball teams at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. He now spends most of his free time with his wife, Michelle, watching their 10-year-old son, Tyler, and 7-year-old daughter, Corrine, play the sports they love.
