Spirit Golf Management Vice President of Operations Receives NJPGA’s Highest Annual Honor; Company Leadership Earns Back-to-Back Golf Professional of the Year Awards

Lambertville, N.J., —Spirit Golf Management, a division of The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), today announced that Vice President of Operations, Kevin Beirne, has been named the 2026 New Jersey PGA Golf Professional of the Year, the highest annual honor awarded to a PGA of America Golf Professional within the Section.

A member of the New Jersey PGA Section since 1999, Beirne was recognized for his outstanding leadership, strong moral character, and significant contributions to the NJPGA, PGA of America, and the game of golf.

Throughout his distinguished career, Beirne has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to player development, mentorship, and growing the game. An accomplished and highly respected leader, Beirne’s passion for growing junior golf and elevating player development programming earned him multiple NJPGA Player Development Awards, and through his dedication to mentorship and supporting the next generation of PGA Professionals, he was the recipient of the 2024 NJPGA Bill Strausbaugh Award.

A resident of Manahawkin, New Jersey, Beirne has devoted countless hours to serving his peers and advancing the profession through volunteer leadership. He has also served as a longtime NJPGA Board Member, committee chair, Section officer, and currently serves as President of the New Jersey PGA Section.

“Kevin’s impact on Spirit Golf Management, the New Jersey PGA, and the game of golf extends far beyond the facilities he oversees,” said Mike Attara, President, Spirit Golf Management. “A highly respected leader, mentor and ambassador for the game, Kevin embodies the best qualities of a PGA of America Golf Professional, and this recognition is well deserved.”

Beirne joined the executive leadership team at Spirit Golf Management in 2017. Previously, he served as Head PGA Professional at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, New Jersey, from 2002 to 2015. During his time at Eagle Ridge, he also enjoyed a successful stint as Head Coach of the Ocean County College Men’s Golf Team.

In his current role as VP of Operations at Spirit Golf Management, Beirne has been instrumental in the growth and success of the Spirit Golf Academy, which provides comprehensive instruction and player development programs for golfers of all ages and skill levels. The academy’s curriculum, developed by PGA of America Golf Professionals, is now being incorporated into golf programming across The Sports Facilities Companies portfolio.

Beirne is joined by an esteemed group of PGA of America Golf Professionals selected as 2026 NJPGA Special Award recipients in recognition of their passion, commitment to excellence, and extraordinary contributions to elevate the profession. The New Jersey PGA will honor Beirne and each of the award recipients during the Celebration of Golf on October 22 at Canoe Brook Country Club and again at the NJPGA Fall Meeting on October 26 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club.

Beirne’s recognition marks a second consecutive year of distinction for Spirit Golf Management leadership. In 2025, Mike Attara, Founder and President of Spirit Golf Management, received the New Jersey PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award, making this a remarkable back-to-back achievement for the organization.
