The luxury-lifestyle and golf publication unveils new look by renowned creative director Rina Stone, with cover photography by Gray Malin and editorial features by Alexandra O’Laughlin and more.
Kingdom magazine today debuted the next evolution of the luxury-lifestyle and golf publication with its Summer Travel Issue, featuring a new design and creative direction led by Rina Stone, cover photography by Gray Malin, and editorial features by Alexandra O’Laughlin and other leading journalists and experts.
Opening with the famed photographer Malin’s stunning image of Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Summer Travel Issue goes on to explore everything from the hidden “country courses” of New Zealand to the classic links of Northern Ireland. The magazine also features interviews with PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele, British Open champion Brian Harman, and Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis, as well as stories about under-the-radar California golf courses, luxury flyfishing lodges, and weekend getaways in Newport, R.I. The issue sees the debut of “The Cut,” featuring news and editors’ picks, as well as the “Alex on Course” column from golf correspondent, TV personality, and Kingdom contributing editor O’Laughlin.
“The Summer Travel Issue marks an exciting new era for Kingdom magazine,” said publisher Matt Squire, who co-founded Kingdom with the golf legend Arnold Palmer. “We are thrilled to have Alexandra O’Laughlin and so many other experts contributing to an issue that sets a new standard for golf-lifestyle publications.”
“From the craggy coasts of Ireland to the alpine lakes of New Zealand, Kingdom’s Summer Travel Issue highlights insider experiences for golfers and nongolfers alike,” said executive vice president, content, Bruce Wallin. “Working with such a diverse group of contributors has been an inspiration for our highly talented team—and we hope the end result serves as travel inspiration for our readers.”
Stone, the longtime executive creative director at InStyle and Real Simple magazines, worked with Kingdom’s in-house team to develop a new look that reflects the magazine’s editorial evolution. The dynamic design features rich imagery and typography to complement articles on everything from PGA Tour professionals to fashion, automobiles, watches, food, and wine.
Kingdom’s Summer Travel Issue will be featured prominently at the brand’s signature event, Kingdom Cup, which will be hosted this year at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island from September 12 to 15. Kingdom Cup is a three-day event featuring world-class golf and the best of the Lowcountry lifestyle. Special guests at this year’s event will include Tom Watson, an eight-time major winner, and Annika Sörenstam, winner of 10 majors among her record-holding 72 official LPGA tournament titles.
