Trio of tour winners become latest added to strong professional lineup
“I am really excited to have three players of this caliber as new members of Team Secret Golf. Brittany is one of the best players on the LPGA and I’m excited to be involved with her new Player Channel,” said Steve Elkington, the co-founder of Secret Golf and a 10-time winner on the PGA TOUR. “Marc and Russell are also proven winners as well and will provide their unique perspective on the game. Both are a little bit like me. growing up in small towns to eventually play and win on the PGA TOUR.”
The 32-year-old Knox became the first Scot to win a WGC Championship when he broke through for his first TOUR victory at the 2015 WGC HSBC Champions event in Shanghai, China. He followed that up just under a year later with a win at the 2016 Travelers Champi-onship, holing a 25-foot birdie putt on the last hole to edge Jerry Kelly by a stroke. Knox also won once on the Web.com Tour and shot a 12-under 59 at the second round of the 2013 Al-bertson’s Boise Open on that circuit.
Leishman has claimed 11 professional victories around the world in his career. In 2009, he became the first Australian to earn Rookie of the Year honors on the PGA TOUR. Leishman won his first tournament on the TOUR in June 2012 at the Travelers Championship, coming from six strokes back of the 54-hole leaders thanks to a final-round 62. He won a pair of events in 2017, first claiming the Arnold Palmer Invitational and then later in the season, the BMW Championship, with a tournament record score of 23-under-par.
Lincicome won her eighth LPGA Tour title earlier this year, successfully defending her Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic title. She became a major champion in women’s professional golf when she won the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship and then added a second major ti-tle when she triumphed at the same event in 2015, now known as the ANA Inspiration. One of the longest drivers in women’s golf, Lincicome has been a member of the United States team in six Solheim Cup matches.
Knox, Leishman and Lincicome bring the total number of Tour players on Team Secret Golf to 23. Team Secret Golf has collectively won 104 tournaments on either the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, or Web.com Tour combined with nine major championships.
