Kaneko’s victory marks another milestone for Elite Grips, demonstrating the performance and reliability trusted by players at golf’s highest level
ORANGE COUNTY, CA –Elite Grips, a leading manufacturer of golf grips and a top Japanese grip company in Japan, extends its congratulations to Elite Grips Ambassador Kota Kaneko on his impressive victory at the Austrian Alpine Open presented by Kitzbühel Tirol. The 23-year-old Japanese standout secured his first DP World Tour title using the Y360 Star / M58.
Kaneko carried a one-shot lead into the final round and answered with a composed performance on a dramatic Sunday in Austria. In one of the tournament’s defining moments, he chipped in for birdie at the par-3 16th to reclaim sole possession of the lead, then closed with a final-round 67 to capture the title. The win also moved him up on the “Race to Dubai“ standings.
Throughout his championship performance, Kaneko relied on the precision, comfort, and consistency of the Elite Grips Y360 Star / M58, one of the new grips in Elite’s lineup. The Y360 Star/58 combines a firm yet responsive feel with Elite’s proprietary NK510 special rubber compound, delivering exceptional traction in all weather conditions while maintaining long-lasting performance. Its distinctive 360-degree symmetrical pattern allows for consistent placement and confidence throughout the swing, making it a favorite among competitive players worldwide.
Designed with a slightly smaller profile, the Y360 Star / M58 provides enhanced feedback and control, helping golfers maintain a secure connection to the club without excessive grip pressure. The grip’s superior durability and shock absorption contribute to greater comfort during practice and tournament play alike.
According to Elite Grips, “With his maiden DP World Tour title now secured, Kaneko’s future looks brighter than ever—and Elite Golf Grips is proud to be part of the journey. We look forward to many more successes ahead.”
