Landscapes Golf Management Appoints Industry Veteran Rachel Carter as Vice President, Business Development

September 16, 2026

(LINCOLN, Neb.) – Landscapes Golf Management has named industry veteran Rachel Carter as Vice President of Business Development to support the company’s growth and further strengthen relationships with golf course owners and operators nationwide.

Carter joins Landscapes Golf Management from the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) where she served as Senior Director of Membership.  Working closely with golf course owners and operators, she optimized member engagement and retention, drove revenue strategies and evolved service models to meet the needs of the organization’s more than 4,000 member facilities.

With more than 25 years of leadership across golf operations, membership, business development and industry relations, Carter will advise potential Landscapes Golf Management client-partners about the company’s expertise in business strategy and planning, golf course maintenance, clubhouse operations, marketing, IT, staffing and training, food and beverage, health and wellness, merchandising, golf instruction and financial management.

“After years sitting across the table from owners and operators – listening to their challenges, learning about their businesses and gaining a deep understanding of their needs from partners – I’m excited to put that perspective to work in a new way,” said Carter.  “I was very intentional about my next career chapter and found tremendous alignment with Landscapes Golf Management in its people, culture and vision for the future.”

Landscapes Golf Management’s core values – Lead. Do What’s Right. Find a Way. Take Care of Each Other. Be the Best – also attracted Carter to the company, as did its investment in women for executive positions within the golf business.

“Rachel brings tremendous relationship capital, industry knowledge and golf operations experience,” said Mark Mattingly, Executive Vice President of Landscapes Golf Management. “She’s seen our corporate and field teams in action, and how public courses and private clubs achieve meaningfully better business results with us than without us.”

Prior to her front row seat at the NGCOA where she was exposed to the benefits of outsourcing operations to third parties, Carter held operational leadership positions at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, The Santa Lucia Preserve, La Jolla Country Club and a major multi-course operator.

Carter serves on the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Open Foundation, as well as the Board of the Colorado Golf Coalition, is a frequent speaker at golf conferences and other industry events, and regularly contributes to Golf Business Magazine, Board Room Magazine and additional industry outlets.
