LINCOLN, Neb. – Landscapes Golf Management has been selected to operate Twin Lakes Country Club, the well-known, family-owned, small-community gathering place in southeast Wisconsin that recently eclipsed its 100-year anniversary.
The company will oversee all aspects of Twin Lakes’ business, including, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, programming and special events, property maintenance, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, and financial management.
The daily-fee club is a popular recreation spot in the town of the same name just north of the Illinois border about one hour form Milwaukee and 90 minutes from Chicago. Its golf course features a traditional, 18-hole, 6,217-yard parkland layout that is very forgiving off the tee across its five par-5s, six par-3s and seven par-4s. However, in paying homage to the “Golden Age” of golf when postage stamp-size greens reigned omnipresent, shot accuracy is required. A practice facility is complimented by a private area for golf instruction.
“The foundations of golf, business and community are built on trust and relationships,” says Chad Cantwell, owner of Twin Lakes Golf Club. “Landscapes Golf Management’s core values align perfectly with our small-town family business. I am thrilled to work with a team of professionals to capture opportunities, provide support for our members and staff, and afford me the ability to help members and the community play better golf and lead better lives.”
“Chad has built a well-respected, community-oriented club,” says Tom Everett, President of Landscapes Golf Management. “Our centralized accounting, national account purchasing, talent development programs and marketing Twin Lakes to broader audiences allows Chad to take a step back and enjoy life even more after 30 years at the helm.”
In conjunction with hosting group golf events, Twin Lakes is known for The Red Barn, one of the area’s finest restaurants featuring homestyle cuisine, fish fries, prime rib feasts and all-you-can-eat brunches. As a banquet venue accommodating up to 250 guests, it rates 4.9 stars (out of five) by leading website The Knot for its wedding productions. The 4,800-square-feet, open-space Fairway Pavilion is heated with retractable walls for events of various sizes. Twin Lakes hosts and manages than 40 weddings annually.
