The World’s Largest Competitive Putting Championship Comes to Nashville

July 5, 2026

The Inaugural WSOCP to Award More Than $65,000 and Crown the First-Ever World Champion

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new chapter in golf history is about to be written in Nashville.

From July 13–19, 2026, The Putting Zone will host the inaugural World Series of Competitive Putting™ (WSOCP) www.wsocp.com – Full tournament details on site.

The World Series of Competitive Putting is a seven-day championship featuring 12 separate tournaments, bringing together competitors from six countries to compete for more than $65,000 in prize money and the distinction of becoming the first World Champion in the history of competitive putting.

The event marks the largest and most ambitious putting competition ever held and represents a defining moment for what many believe is the fastest-growing segment of golf competition. Players will compete on The Putting Zone’s revolutionary par-72 indoor putting course, a venue that has already attracted national attention for redefining what competitive putting can be. ESPN covered the nationally acclaimed TPZ Shootout in March of 2026.  The facility has been dubbed “The Putting Capital of the World” by organizers and players alike.

Located in Nashville, Tennessee, The Putting Zone is widely regarded as one of the most advanced putting facilities ever created. The climate-controlled venue combines professional-grade playing surfaces with a unique competitive format designed specifically for elite putting competition.

“This isn’t miniature golf. This isn’t entertainment putting. This is the emergence of an entirely new competitive sport,” said Bill Ricigliano, Founder of The Putting Zone and the World Series of Competitive Putting. “For generations, putting has determined who wins major championships and who loses them. We created a venue where putting is no longer the supporting actor—it’s the main event. The World Series of Competitive Putting is the moment the world finally sees what this sport can become.”

The championship is expected to draw elite putting specialists, golfers, industry leaders, media personalities, and spectators from around the country. The week-long schedule includes multiple championship divisions and tournament formats, professional competitions, amateur events, and cash purses that rival many traditional golf tournaments.

The rise of competitive putting comes at a time when millions of Americans are seeking golf experiences that are more accessible, time-efficient, and skill-focused. Organizers believe the World Series of Competitive Putting marks the beginning of a new era—one in which putting stands on its own as both a spectator sport and a competitive discipline.

The World Series of Competitive Putting will be held July 13–19, 2026, at The Putting Zone, located at 3040 Sidco Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. Spectator tickets, player registration, sponsorship opportunities, and event information are available at WSOCP.com.

NOTE – Some player registration opportunities are still available.
