Export, Penn. – A talented leadership team has brought a new energy to Westmoreland Country Club in Export, Penn., elevating the member experience for the golf course, food and beverage, golf events, and family-oriented social programming.
Westmoreland General Manager Ryan Prosowski, who has been in the position since 2018, has assembled a team of professionals focused on delivering the finest private club experience in Western Pennsylvania, including Director of Golf Zack Turek, Golf Course Superintendent Spencer Hennen, and Executive Chef Jonathan White. Ryan himself has 25 years of private club industry experience, including serving at Skyline Country Club and Ventana Golf & Country Club in Tucson, Ariz.; The Jeremy Golf & Country Club in Park City, Utah; and Terravita Country Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“Ryan brings a high-touch, member centric focus to Westmoreland and has elevated our experiences and interactions at the Club resulting in strong member culture and an invigorated sense of community and inclusion,” said Westmoreland Country Club President Jim Kohosek. “He is focused on elevating the member experience for years to come.”
Leading the charge for golf events for members and guests, Director of Golf Zack Turek manages golf operations for the club while maintaining a full-time golf instruction schedule. As a board member of the Tri-State PGA Section, the 34-year-old Turek is a leader in the Greater Pittsburgh Area golf scene and has had the opportunity to mentor more than 75 individuals in traditional, non-traditional and non-golf roles. Prior to arriving at Westmoreland in January of 2022, Turek was the head professional at the Indiana Country Club in Indiana, Penn., and has 12 years of private club industry experience. He is detail-oriented, highly organized and motivated, and a customer service advocate. He brings a strong desire to cultivate a top-tier teaching program and golf experience at Westmoreland.
In his first 15 months at Westmoreland, Golf Course Superintendent Spencer Hennen has overseen major renovations and has dramatically improved course conditions by implementing strong agronomy practices. Members of Westmoreland have seen a dramatic improvement in playability of the course and are greatly benefiting from the agronomic support of Troon. A 16-year golf industry veteran, the 31-year-old Hennen has worked at Fox Chapel Golf Club, Oakmont Country Club and Pinehurst #2.
Executive Chef Jonathan White always knew he had a passion and desire to not just be a chef, but a great one. However, it wasn’t until he worked for World Certified Master Chef, Shawn Culp, that his passion was truly discovered. Chef White has 10 years of culinary experience, developing his craft at clubs such as Upper St. Clair Country Club, Greenbriar Resort, Rivers Club and Forrest Lake Country Club. He specializes in fresh cuisine, focusing on locally sourced ingredients. The newest member of the Westmoreland team started in February, Chef White, age 27, is eager to showcase his talents both in the member dining room and during special events.
