LEAN LOCK Blade-PN and Mallet-PN Now Available Online
Fernandina Beach, FL – Designed by former PGA Tour Pro and Top 30 money winner, Brian Tennyson, the LEAN LOCK putting method and LEAN LOCK putters were introduced at the 2022 PGA Merchandise Show this past January. The company launched with two limited edition models, the LEAN LOCK APA Proto blade and mallet putters, that quickly sold out after an aggressive and creative direct to consumer ad campaign in the Spring.
The LEAN LOCK putter’s distinctive look and design incorporates 13 degrees of forward shaft lean (compared to standard putters) when the bottom of the putter is resting flat to the playing surface in the normal address position. The putter has a milled face and three degrees of loft.
The forward leaning LEAN LOCK shaft is combined with an extra-long, slightly rotated grip. With the LEAN LOCK method the putter is held against the target side of the leading arm, and the hands and wrists are comfortably positioned on the flat portion of the rotated grip so that the wrists cannot break down at impact. Any tendency to do so only strengthens the “locking” effect. This helps to minimize face rotation returning the putter face to square at impact.
The LEAN LOCK putter has received rave reviews from Tour Pros and the media.
“The LEAN LOCK method changed the way I think about putting,” said three-time PGA Tour winner, Robert Gamez, at the PGA Show. “Putting has been a weakness throughout my career. Once I got into the correct LEAN LOCK set up position, I immediately started striking pure putts. It felt comfortable very quickly.”
Award-winning golf writer and columnist for Si.com, Gary Van Sickle wrote, “I gave arm-lock putting a try but found it awkward and unhelpful. Tennyson had me up and running with LEAN LOCK in less than two minutes. The putter stayed online remarkably well. I only needed to hit two putts to realize he was onto something.”
The unique LEAN LOCK design is based on Tennyson’s key principle for hitting putts pure. He calls it the “APA” – Aim, Path, and Attack Angle. The company is releasing two new models, the LEAN LOCK Blade-PN and Mallet-PN putters. Both models have the patent-pending LEAN LOCK plumber’s neck hosel, customized for LEAN LOCK’s forward shaft lean and designed to minimize face rotation while consistently keeping the ball on its intended line.
“I am thrilled about our new 2022 LEAN LOCK Blade-PN and Mallet-PN putters,” said Tennyson. “My LEAN LOCK putters keep the wrists from breaking down. We repositioned the weight in the head away from the center to provide more stability and added aggressive custom milling to the face to provide a soft feel. And the new LEAN LOCK hosel is ‘the magic’ behind setting and aiming the putter perfectly every time.”
LEAN LOCK mallet and blade putters come in left and right-handed models and in lengths between 39 and 44 inches with a 19-inch grip.
