Learn how to manage your game like the pros with sessions on course management, mental strategies, uneven lies and proper club selection online and all from the convenience of your home.
Based on her simplified approach to teaching, Golf 8.5, McMahon has created this new Strategy Course so you can play your best. Each five-session course provides five hours of teaching featuring McMahon’s Smart Learning Strategies for quick and efficient learning.
The Strategy Course includes:
Week 1 – Personal Video Swing Analysis each week
Week 2 – Game analysis (how to lower your scores or index)
Week 3 – Course Strategies
Week 4 – Personal Pars
Week 5 – Uneven lies
Homework (Playwork) – Weekly Assignments, Rules and Mental Practice.
Each online session comes with a slide deck presentation, full recorded sessions and video demonstrations.
McMahon’s innovative program is called Golf 8.5 because she has identified eight and a half pieces to quickly and simply create a successful golf swing. Golf 8.5 starts by establishing the setup – four pre-swing positions. McMahon calls this G-CAP: Grip, Clubhead, Alignment and Posture. These are followed by four and a half in-swing positions that begin with the takeaway through to a classic finish.
“What I’m trying to do is de-clutter everyone’s minds,” McMahon said. “My objective is for people to know their swings and identify what they should be doing. Too many swings are taught like Post-it notes: 1001 thoughts tacked on a wall, pick out one swing thought and try to go play that day. With Golf 8.5, you can have a classic looking, fundamentally sound golf swing in 15 minutes.”
McMahon, who was recently honored as one of the LPGA’s four “Elite” golf instructors, is also recognized as one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 Instructors. She holds a B.S. degree in Education and designed her teaching method for Golf 8.5 that occurs in chunks, position by position, in a slow, repetitive motion. This accelerates the learning process and Golf 8.5’s 98% success rate – from beginners to advance players – is the result.
