The Legacy Club Completes First US Open Virtual ProAm With TDJ Golf System

Heathrow, FL. The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes hosted the first US Open Virtual ProAm utilizing the TDJ Golf system, combining scores of amateur golfers with professional golfers competing in the final round of the US Open. The amateur golfers competing at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes in Heathrow, FL. on June 17th, selected three PGA Tour professionals competing in the final round at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, NY.

“We were thrilled to host this new type of event for our members” said Jean-Pierre Ely, Director of Golf at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. “It was stress free on the staff, the in-app leaderboards and notifications handled most of the communication and kept the golfers engaged. It only took our golfers about 2 minutes to get the app and draft their teams, the TDJ Golf app did the rest”.

TDJ Golf’s patent pending system was developed by a father and son team who are avid golfers, with an informed vision and raw passion for the sport. They wanted their app to fuse together the experiences of Pros and Amateurs alike, connecting golfers to each other to increase engagement – resulting in golfers playing more rounds and following the professional Tours more closely. This unique and innovative approach is good for the golfer, great for golf facility partners and an important step for the golf business.

“We are very excited to bring this new experience to golfers across the country” said Tony Laudato, President TDJ Golf. “It was fantastic to see the golfers hanging out in the dining room after the event reliving their rounds and talking about who their draft picks for the day were”.

The winner of the virtual ProAm shot a net 8-under par, sixty-four (64) while his draft picks (Brooks Koepka, Paul Casey and Rickie Fowler) were a combined 6-under for the day. His team score of 14-under was four shots better than the nearest competitor.

The TDJ Golf system will provide long-term enjoyment for all golfers and attract an entirely new and digitally connected generation to the sport. TDJ Golf is aligning with golf course partners who are seeking to add more golf rounds and increase golf pro shop and/or facility sales revenue. Golf course partners are being developed by The Duran Group, and Tony Duran can be reached at (562) 787-4183 or by email at tduran@durangroup.com

TDJ Golf’s mobile application is available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play marketplaces.
