Asia has more than 5000 golf clubs operating across the vast Continent and with the rapid progress, development and economic growth being experienced throughout Asia, golf clubs in the region are coming into greater focus.
For nineteen years, the Asia Pacific Golf Group has kept the spotlight trained on the best in the business through its coveted Asian Golf Awards, the absolute pinnacle amongst the industry’s recognition events. One award category that has always been keenly contested is that of the Best Club General Manager Of The Year. Over the years, this prestigious award has been granted to an elite group of general managers and it is now felt that the time has come to install a select few in a permanent award category.
This special tribute is the “Legion Of Leaders”, a universal industry recognition designed to single out outstanding men and women in the golf club management industry for the exemplary role they have played and continue to play in promoting all-round excellence in the club industry.
Once anointed to this level, the honourees will not be voted upon again in the annual Asian Golf Awards as the “Legion Of Leaders” award will serve as the ultimate recognition of Asia’s Best!

Each of the golf club management on the award list has distinguished and excelled itself in terms of operating a golf club noted for the quality of its golf course, its club house facilities and services and its commitment to deliver a quality golfing experience to both members and guests alike.
The official induction of the select group of golf club management will take place during the 2018 Asian Golf Awards Gala Banquet that will be staged in Bangkok, Thailand on November 3 at the brand-new Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. The award ceremony will be part of the 2018 Asia Pacific Golf Summit which will be staged from November 1 – 3.
