Jim Beatty, founder and organizer of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum, announced that Leonard Smoot, head coach at Miles College, an HBCU and president of the Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCBGA) and key executives from TMRW, the creators of TGL, presented by SoFi have been added to the schedule and will be featured speakers.
Jim Beatty also stated, “I am absolutely thrilled that we have been able to bring these two programs to the EXPO. The BCBGA is doing outstanding work across America, guiding competitive golf at HBCU, and President Smoot will talk about their accomplishments and challenges. I am also so eager to have TGL in attendance to share their innovations with expo attendees.
TGL, presented by SoFi is an innovation in the golf industry, and the executives from TMRW Sports will be on hand to present and explain to expo attendees the nuances of the league, Andrew Macaulay, Chief Technology Officer for TMRW Sports, and Andrew George, Senior Vice President, Live Event Experience & Operations, will lead the presentation.
According to Jim Beatty, EXPO attendees will be among the first in the nation to receive this type of briefing on one of the most innovative sports programs in America.

About The Black College Golf Coaches Association
The Black College Golf Coaches Association supports and uplifts Historically Black College and University golf programs, students, and coaches. The mission of the BCGCA is to empower and promote excellence within HBCU Golf programs, students, and coaches. Our aim is to foster a supportive network that cultivates opportunities, resources, and mentorship, ensuring the success and development of HBCU student-athletes in the sport of golf. We strive to enhance representation, increase diversity, and create a pathway for future generations of black golfers to excel both on and off the course.
About TGL
TGL is a planned golf league created by TMRW Sports, a venture formed by sports executive Mike McCarley and professional golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour. TGL, presented by SoFi, is an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA TOUR, fusing advanced tech and live action in prime time.
The season will include a total of 24 players with four players assigned to each of the six teams. Each TGL match will feature three players competing on each team in a two-hour team golf competition, offering a fresh approach to the sport with a focus on technology, innovation, and fan engagement.
A purpose-built venue called SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida will combine a data-rich virtual course with a first-of-its-kind short game complex, creating a unique experience for the fans in the stands and watching around the world.

The mission of this event is to make African Americans aware of the jobs, careers, and business opportunities in the $102 Billion Golf industry.
African Americans represent less than 3% of the industry.
History: The EXPO started in 2021 and has been held in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Louisville, KY. Over 1500 people have attended with an economic impact approaching $2M. The EXPO Founder and Organizer is Jim Beatty Golf Ventures.

There is a special inaugural EXPO Community Service Project being held at 9:00 AM on Aug. 23 at the Riviera Beach Community Gardens located at 1010 West 10th Street

The cost is $99 to attend all exhibits, nightly networking sessions and the Tuesday awards luncheon. The EXPO is free for adults 18 and over for those wanting to go to the exhibits only.
Everyone must register. Nongolfers and new golfers of all ages are welcome.
There will be over 50 exhibitors.
