LINKS DRINKS TRANSFUSION PARTNERS WITH THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY TO RAISE FUNDS AND HONOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY BATTLING CANCER

September 20, 2021

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Links Drinks. There is a natural synergy between the organizations as both are committed to the fight against cancer in different ways.

For more than 100 years, the American Cancer Society have helped lead the way the world prevents, detects, treats, and thinks about cancer. As the nation’s preeminent cancer-fighting organization, we fund and conduct research, share expert information, support people with cancer, spread the word about prevention, and advocate for public policy change.

One of the ACS’s most successful golf programs is the Babes Against Cancer series of tournaments on Long Island.  30 clubs engage their members in club tournaments that raise over $1 million annually for ACS.  Links Drinks was happy to be there greeting players and sharing their Ready to Drink Transfusion cocktail in a can.

Links Drinks has created a canned version of this popular golf club cocktail for everyone to enjoy. It’s made with vodka, ginger ale & grape juice.  It was started by Fred and Denise Evanko, a family from Connecticut, who lost their young daughter Grace to cancer 8 years ago.  Fred and Denise are honoring her memory by partnering with us at the American Cancer Society and giving back to help families going through this difficult time.

This partnership is expanding the reach of the American Cancer Society and introducing the golf community to the Links Drinks brand.  Both organizations look forward to future growth which will increase the Links Drinks footprint and generate critical funds for the fight against cancer.
