LOS ANGELES, Calif. – LOHLA SPORT has introduced its first limited-time, exclusive collection of men’s apparel with racing-inspired designs to support the brand’s participation in the 2023 Indianapolis 500.
There are nine style-color combinations of polos, five for outerwear and three apiece for shorts and pants in navy, black, laps, racing red and mid-gray. The Race Team Collection is available online ($130 to $200) and for merchandisers through Labor Day.
“Loyal buyers of our premium ladies’ golf-lifestyle apparel have been asking for LOHLA SPORT clothing for their husbands,” says Lisa O’Hurley, Founder and CEO of LOHLA SPORT. “With our brand’s annual participation in the Indy 500, we figure it’s an opportune time to get behind the wheel of a men’s collection featuring some of the world’s finest fabrics for sport and including the men’s version of our popular The Very Pant.”
The 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 was on May 28. For the third consecutive year, the chic LOHLA SPORT logo was prominently displayed as a partner on the No. 24 Chevrolet driven by Graham Rahal with support from Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, Cusick Motorsports and CareKeepers.
The partnership was conceived by Don Cusick, a LOHLA SPORT shareholder and lifelong race car enthusiast. The intersection of his two passions, golf and racing, lies in each sport’s obsessed fan and participant base. The golf bug has bitten wining drivers Michael and Darrell Waltrip, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordan, Dale Jarrett, Rusty Wallace, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson while PGA TOUR stars Dustin Johnson, Ian Poulter and Matt Kuchar have taken laps around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
For decades, PGA, Champions and LPGA Tour events were played at Brickyard Crossing golf course located in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway complex.
Since debuting in January 2021, LOHLA SPORT has become one of America’s most popular premium women’s golf-lifestyle apparel brands. Its current “Lavish Summer Locales” collection features coordinated tops, bottoms, skorts, outerwear and accessories emitting feelings of high-class, tropical destinations Ibiza, Amalfi, St. Tropez and Monaco.
LOHLA SPORT styles follow European design profiles with colorful and feminine Los Angeles flair for classy, resort-sporty looks. The popular The Very Pant and Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant are becoming ubiquitous among lady golfers on and off the course. Flattering yet not overtly sexy, LOHLA SPORT’s fit defines its “made-for-play” mantra in optimizing athletic movements.
Designers O’Hurley and London-based Paul Rees, formerly of Burberry and Aquascutum fame, are committed to using only luxe European fabrics.
LOHLA SPORT’s comfortable-chic aesthetic continues to usher in a massive “Golfleisure” movement akin to Lululemon and the “Athleisure” craze. In that vein, the legendary Annika Sorenstam is LOHLA SPORT’s global ambassador and consistently praised for her new fashionista ways.
