Losing a Leg, but Not Losing Hope
In 2011, John Bell was involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident, leaving his left leg amputated above the knee. He was also left with a crushed skull, broken back and many other health issues. This accident though, did not stop Bell from finding his true passion.
Realizing he would never be able to go back to the job he loved, an operator of heavy equipment, he knew it was time to focus on what mattered most; family and friends. He found a new passion for helping others who have gone through the loss of a limb. Working with organizations like the Never Say Never Foundation, U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance, and local Amputee Support Groups, Bell shows others ways to adapt to the new lifestyle and how to stay positive. Bell also attends the Annual Amputee Coalition Conference every year.

With being an above knee amputee, I have had to completely change my golf swing, and with Power Tee I was able to save all my energy not loading the ball and focus on my swing and stance,” Bell says. “I have been using Power Tee a lot lately while training. I used Power Tee to help prepare me for the Veterans Charity Tournament this past weekend and the Phoenix Cup back in October. I was a Phoenix Cup vice captain of 15 members representing Team USA with the USAGA.”
