PGA Pro’s Brendon Elliott & Bob Baldassari are Talking Golf
Orlando, FL – In December of 2018, PGA Professional Brendon Elliott, while employed at the Golf Academy of America career college, decided to try and put together a podcast with some graduates and students from the school. A handful of episodes ran and did so flying well under the radar. “We had no idea what we were doing but we knew we were having fun doing it” explained Elliott. Roughly 14 episodes ran and Elliott and his LOTL crew touched on all things golf. “We really simplified it from a production standpoint, and still do. We use an app called Anchor to record our conversations and eventually, we started to record the video of our conversations as well and put them up on YouTube and Facebook” said Elliott. In the spring of 2019, the first go at the Love of the Links Golf Radio Podcast had stalled out but the idea never completely went away.
In December of 2019, with new co-host, and fellow PGA Professional Bob Baldassari, Elliott brought back the show and did so with intentions of inviting special guests to each episode and making a more serious run at it. “I felt like with the addition of Bob, a PGA Professional I really admire, that we could potentially have something special that could evolve over time” said Elliott. “Its been a lot of fun so far and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come” said Bob Baldassari, the podcasts new co-host as of its season two relaunch last December.
So far in season two, guests have included: World Long Drive Champion, Maurice Allen, Golf Channel personality Rex Hoggard, Golf Digest Top 50 Fitness Trainer Scott Shepard, Dr. Ben Kersenbrock, from Kersenbrock Medical and Wellness, world renowned Golf Performance Coach and Golf Physiologist, Dr. Bob Winters. Top 100 Instructor Charlie King and Brad Turner, the Director of Golf Operations at Bishops Gate Golf Academy and the IJGA.
Elliott sums up the podcast like this, “Again, it’s nothing over produced or fancy but it’s a lot of fun. Between Bob and my extensive industry connections, we will aim to bring on more and more names from the golf industry and simply talk about the game we all love.”
