Clifton, NJ, March 22, 2022 – In advance of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9th, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), along with its flagship event the Cognizant Founders Cup, is celebrating “Mothers and Mentors” with the launch of the 2022 Great MOM Giveaway Contest, a promotion designed to find that special mother or mentor who stands out among the best-of-the-best in serving as a mentor and role model.
The contest, which runs from March 15th – April 15th, is part of the LPGA’s ongoing mission of engaging, empowering, and supporting girls and women through the sport of golf. In its quest to find that one special “mother or mentor,” the LPGA is inviting anyone interested in nominating a friend or family member to complete a 250-word essay on what makes their candidate stand out among the rest, and submit it along with photos by emailing Founders@LPGA.com with the subject line MOM, and via other social platforms. The link with full details can be found here: https://www.thefounderslpga.com/giveaway.
Based on all essays received, a designated nominating panel will review all submissions, identify 13 finalists and ultimately determine a winner. The 13 finalists will be announced on April 20th with the winner announced on April 30th. The champion “MOM,” along with a guest will receive transportation for (2), hotel accommodations for (2) nights for two people, hospitality tickets for (2) including food and beverage, for May 13th & 14th during the competition rounds of the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup at historic Upper Montclair Country Club, in Clifton, NJ. All finalists will receive a gift from the LPGA for being among the 13 best nominations received during the contest. *Restrictions apply.
“Everyone has a mother or a special mentor, male or female who have made an impact in our life, and that is who we want to celebrate,” said Tracy Hupko, Sales & Marketing Manager, Cognizant Founders Cup. “The Great MOM Giveaway Contest is an opportunity for people in the continental United States to tell the world about their special mother or mentor, and what that person means to them and how they have helped shape their life.”
Hupko adds, “Everything we do at the LPGA centers on supporting and empowering girls and women, and there is nothing more important than a MOM, especially one who serves as a role model and helps inspire not only family members, but friends and colleagues in business too.” More information on the contest can be found at www.LPGAFoundersCup.com/GreatMOM.
