CARLSBAD, Calif. – A 20-year-old former top amateur won her second LPGA Tour event using Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO 850GH steel shafts in her irons and N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her wedges at Upper Montclair Country Club in New Jersey.
The champion of the Cognizant Founders Cup shot four rounds in the 60s and birdied four of her last five holes to win by two strokes and collect a winner’s check of $450,000. She shot 63-68-67 and a bogey-free 68 for a 24-under par total of 264. She hit the most greens in regulation of any player in the field.
