Troon-managed facility first to host awards in Africa
New Cairo, Egypt – Madinaty Golf Club preparing to welcome leading figures from the global golf and golf tourism industries to Egypt in November when the Troon-managed facility hosts the 13th annual World Golf Awards.
The event will mark the first time the World Golf Awards has been staged in Africa, bringing golf industry leaders, tourism organisations and destinations from around the world to New Cairo from November 5-7.
The Gala Ceremony will take place on the evening of November 7, forming the climax of an exclusive golfing itinerary that will include the World Golf Awards Classic to be played on the 18-hole Championship Course (par 71, 6,900 yards), designed by the acclaimed Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course hosted the 2022 Asian Tour International Series. The weekend will also include a welcome reception at the Official Accommodation Partner The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo.
