Golf fans with limited mobility can now get tournament gear designed for easy dressing
MagnaReady®, the original magnetic apparel company, is introducing its first men’s and women’s adaptive golf apparel embroidered with the logo for the U.S. Adaptive Open or the logo for the U.S. Open Championship golf tournaments on Fanatics.com. MagnaReady® apparel simplifies the dressing process by eliminating the need to maneuver buttons through buttonholes. A patented magnetic closure system securely holds shirt fronts closed. “Buttoning” up only requires overlapping the two sides of the shirt front and the magnets click together.
Now available on Fanatics.com with either the U.S. Open or U.S. Adaptive Open logo are a men’s short sleeve adaptive golf polo, a unisex hooded windbreaker adaptive jacket, a men’s navy collared cotton/polyester blend adaptive jacket, and a women’s round neck adaptive tank top. The MagnaReady® polo features two decorative white buttons at the top of the shirt in a classic polo design, and hidden magnetic closures along the entire shirt front allowing it to fully open and be put on one arm at a time instead of pulled over the head. The windbreaker jacket features MagZip zipper closures, ULEX hold loops at the base of the zipper and a removable MagZip hood. The men’s cotton jacket has a mock collar, a chest pocket with magnetic closure, and hidden magnetic closures instead of snaps or a full zipper on the front. The women’s tank top is designed with sensory friendly seams, a rounded hem with side slits, crossover front panels and four magnetic closures at the shoulder to the top can be put on like a vest instead of pulled over the head.
“Golf is a universal sport that can enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities,” said MagnaReady President Maura Horton. “Having arthritis, an artificial limb, or any condition that limits mobility does not keep golfers from making incredible shots and always improving their game. Golf apparel that simplifies dressing when you don’t have full range of motion in your hands or upper body makes it that much easier to get out on the course with independence and dignity. We are honored to be able to offer golfers and fans of the sport a logo adaptive golf polo option so they can support the players in the inaugural U.S. Adaptive Open and the 122nd U.S. Open Championship.”
The MagnaReady® men’s adaptive polo is crafted for a luxurious soft feel using a blended weave of 65% cotton and 35% polyester knit. Available in light blue, lavender, heather grey, navy and black, the machine washable polo is cut for a classic fit. The adaptive windbreaker jacket is available in white for $114.99. The men’s navy jacket is available for $84.99 and is a 60% cotton, 40% polyester blend. The women’s adaptive tank top is a 46% polyester, 33% cotton, 16% lyocell, 5% elastane blend available in white for $64.99.
