Gator Graduate Joins Inaugural Arcis Ambassador World No. 2 Lilia Vu
DALLAS — Arcis Golf — the second largest and fastest-growing owner and operator of private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States — has announced that Maisie Filler, a recent graduate of University of Florida where she enjoyed a stellar collegiate career, has become an Arcis Golf Ambassador.
While at Florida, Filler, 23, was a second team All-American, an All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection, and four-time SEC Golfer of the Week. In addition, the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, resident captured three stroke-play tournaments, including the Tar Heel Invitational, where she fired a season- and team-best round of 64. Earlier this year, she won the 91st Jones/Doherty Women’s Amateur, one of the country’s longest running and most storied tournaments for up-and-coming female golfers. Filler was a member of Team USA at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup.
Filler qualified for her first U.S. Women’s Open in June, advanced to the Round of 16 at the U.S. Women’s Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club in August and reached 34th in the World Amateur Women’s Golf Rankings. She is pursuing her dream of playing professional golf by competing in tournaments and practicing for LPGA 2025 qualifying events.
“Maisie embodies everything we admire about the game of golf,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. “At her young age, Maisie has a wonderful grasp of how hard work and discipline translate into success on and off the course.”
In her Arcis Golf Ambassador role, Filler will sport the company’s logo on headwear and make special appearances at member and community events, participate in social media content creation, support Arcis’ inclusion and accessibility initiatives, as well as help mentor junior members or programs that engage youth and beginner golfers.
Arcis Golf is committed to diversifying and providing access to the game, highlighted by its wide-ranging initiatives:
- TPC River’s Bend, an Arcis Golf course near Cincinnati, Ohio, recently hosted the LPGA’s Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, on Sept. 19-22.
- Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Ga. hosts the first two rounds of the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA), where Filler has participated twice. At the 2024 event, she shot an opening-round 68 en route to a T8 finish.
- The company is the presenting sponsor of the Women In Golf Foundation, Inc. (WIGF) and its National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship. The 2024 edition was held in April at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch, an Arcis Golf facility in Katy, Texas.
- Earlier this year, the inaugural Arcis HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Collegiate Golf Championship was held at The Club at Weston Hills, an Arcis Golf facility in Weston, Florida. The event showcased 16 HBCU men’s and women’s golf teams in three rounds of competition. Arcis also provides ongoing access for HBCU golfers to practice and hone their skills at nearly 70 clubs across the country.
“After meeting Mr. Walker at this year’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur, I was very inspired by Arcis Golf’s vision and commitment,” Filler said. “Partnering with a company that not only supports women’s golf but also actively works to expand opportunities and access for women in sports is truly gratifying.” She added, “As I embark on my professional career, I am incredibly thankful for the support of Arcis, which will undoubtedly play a crucial role in helping me achieve my goals and realize my full potential in the game.”
Filler maintains an active social media presence via her Instagram account. She joins Arcis Golf Ambassador, LPGA professional Lilia Vu, currently No. 2 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.
