Justin Rose set a tournament record at 23 under at Torrey Pines to secure his second Farmers Insurance Open victory. Rose was awarded the event’s iconic Malcolm DeMille trophy—a realistic bronze cast and patina sculpture of the endangered Torrey Pine perched atop the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The piece serves as a striking tribute to the natural beauty of Torrey Pines Golf Course and reflects Malcolm DeMille’s long standing partnership with the tournament.
Meanwhile, at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, extreme weather conditions shifted the LPGA competition to a 54 hole stroke play format, while celebrities competed under a modified Stableford system. Nelly Korda delivered a commanding performance, earning a three shot victory over Amy Yang and her first title since November 2024. On the celebrity side, retired tennis professional and former HGVTOC champion Mardy Fish rose to the top once again to claim the 2026 celebrity title.
Both Korda and Fish lifted the event’s signature Malcolm DeMille designed trophy, featuring textured panels and open work palm trees that unite to form a three dimensional representation of the tournament logo. Finished in bright rhodium and standing over 20 inches tall on a hardwood base, the perpetual trophy includes a title plate and engraved plates honoring past champions.
