Webb Simpson raised the iconic trophy of Sir William Innes that was handcrafted by Malcolm DeMille.
It was a stacked leaderboard at the RBC Heritage with potential for a Monday playoff. Webb Simpson birdied five of the last seven holes beating out Abraham Ancer by one stroke to win the PGA Tour event with a score 7-under 64. As Sunday crept into the evening, Webb Simpson raised the iconic trophy of Sir William Innes that was handcrafted by Malcolm DeMille. The 16” tall polished bronze sculpture highlighted with a bronze patina was mounted to a walnut base with engraved title plate.
In the week before the event the team at KSBY got a sneak peek on how these special designs are made. They got an exclusive behind the scenes look at the full process from design to finish. Check out their report here.
Congratulations to Webb Simpson on his outstanding play at the RBC Heritage!
