As Club Nears 100-year Anniversary, New Leadership Announced
Bedford, N.H. – Manchester Country Club (MCC), one of New Hampshire’s premier private clubs and nationally recognized Distinguished Club, is pleased to announce Daniel Henry as the Club’s new executive chef and Ann Sorrell as the director of food and beverage. Overseeing all facets of the Club’s food and beverage operations, the duo will manage the food production and service for all dining venues, including the member bar, lounge and restaurant, as well as weddings and events. The announcement comes after a nationwide search was conducted by the Club’s general manager, Bill Thibeault, its Board of Directors and Troon, MCC’s management company.
Prior to Henry’s arrival at MCC and relocation to New Hampshire, he was executive chef at Brookville’s Tam O’ Shanter Country Club on the Gold Coast of Long Island. A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, Henry has held notable positions, including Michelin-starred Restaurant Daniel in New York City, as well as a host of other clubs including Short Hills Club in New Jersey, The Muttontown Club in New York, and Huntington Country Club in New York.
A spirited professional and talented chef, Henry values continuing education to hone his craft and develop his team. Responsible for overseeing the culinary team at MCC, Henry has already launched a new lunch menu and new dinner offerings, and plans to release special features regularly, as well as enhance the menus for hosted weddings and events.
As the new director of food and beverage, Sorrell will oversee all front of house operations. She will work alongside Henry to develop the culinary and service teams, foster a positive hospitality culture, deliver a superior dining experience for members, guests and event attendees. Sorrell’s professional experience includes Marriott Hotels as well as the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead, Mass.
“We are excited to welcome Chef Daniel and Ann to the MCC family and Bedford community,” said Bill Thibeault, general manager of Manchester Country Club. “We are looking forward to bringing a new culinary mindset to the Club, as well as the highest level of service for our members and guests. This is a very exciting time at the Club, as we prepare to celebrate our 100th anniversary, and maintain our distinction as one of the best private clubs in all of New England.”
