Marriott Golf Announces Matt Sim as newly appointed General Manager of Golf at Marriott’s Stone Mountain Golf Club

Marriott Golf, the global golf division of Marriott International, Inc., today announced that Matt Sim has been promoted to the position of General Manager of Golf at Marriott’s Stone Mountain Golf Club, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. In his new role, Sim will be responsible for overseeing golf operations for the 36-hole public access facility including tournaments / special events, retail merchandising, Hotel and guest play, instruction, staff training, and customer engagement.

A 2010 graduate of Ferris State University’s Professional Golf Management Program and PGA Certified Professional, Matt has a well-rounded background in resort, member, & daily fee golf operations, with experience at multiple Marriott Golf properties in Florida, California, and Arizona, most recently as Head Golf Professional at JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club, in Scottsdale.

Stone Mountain Golf Club is located in one of the most popular attractions in Georgia, Stone Mountain Park. Stone Mountain Golf Club, featuring two championship golf courses, offers scenic views of historic Stone Mountain and Stone Mountain Lake. The Stonemont Course, opened in 1969, was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, and is a favorite course among players seeking a real challenge.
