Lights Out Final Round Play Earns Andersen a Spot in The Open
Scottsdale, AZ – PXG Korn Ferry Tour Professional Mason Andersen battled it out on Sunday, carding a final round 7-under to win his first title at the Visa Argentina Open. The career-boosting playoff victory also earned the former Sun Devil, who turned pro in 2022, a coveted spot in The Open.
“Since the day we met Mason, we knew he was destined to achieve great things. His fighting spirit and dedication to the game have always impressed us,” PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons said. “Today, we are incredibly proud to witness him lift the trophy for the first time, and we are confident that this is just the beginning of many more victories to come.”
Andersen has always dreamed of winning a professional tour event, and on Sunday, he finally achieved his goal, calling the experience surreal and thanking his family and partners for their support.
A loyal PXG Troop who plays a full bag of PXG golf clubs, Anderson stated, “From driver to putter, my PXG setup was crucial for my win. I couldn’t have done it without driving it as well as I did, and the rest of my bag gave me the necessary confidence to get out there and compete. I am proud to be a part of the PXG family and truly appreciate their commitment to me as a player.”
