Tour Ambassador’s blade delivers fourth PGA Tour win, and the only two PGA Tour victories this season decided with a blade putter

Tinley Park, Ill.   – Bettinardi Golf congratulates Tour Ambassador Matt Fitzpatrick on claiming his second RBC Heritage title Sunday at Harbour Town Golf Links, winning on the first playoff hole over the number one golfer in the world to secure his fourth PGA Tour victory, and his second win in his last three PGA Tour starts.

The defining moment came on the 73rd hole. After a 4-iron approach from 204 yards, Fitzpatrick stood over a 13-foot birdie putt with the championship on the line. He rolled it in with his Tour Department DASS BB1 Flow, sealing the title and a $3.6 million share of the $20 million signature event purse. It mirrored his 2023 RBC Heritage win, also decided in a playoff at Harbour Town with the BB1 Flow in his hands.

“This is a tournament I wanted to win growing up more than any of the majors before I understood more about the game,” Fitzpatrick said. “To go toe-to-toe with Scottie and get it over the line is special.”

Throughout the week, Fitzpatrick used the same putter to win the Valspar Championship last month. Built to his exact specifications and rooted in the BB Series platform, the putter delivered the consistent roll and feedback Harbour Town’s demanding greens require.

Fitzpatrick returned to the BB1 Flow earlier this season after a brief run with a BB48 mallet prototype. He explained the switch ahead of his Valspar victory.

“My make rates between 5 to 15 feet were much better with the blade, and that kind of convinced me to go back.”

The decision has paid off. Since putting the BB1 Flow back in the bag at The Players Championship, Fitzpatrick has posted a runner-up at TPC Sawgrass and wins at the Valspar Championship and RBC Heritage. His two PGA Tour wins this season are the only two on Tour decided with a blade putter, a quiet counterpoint to the mallet trend dominating fields.

“Two wins in three starts with his trusted BB1 Flow says everything,” said Sam Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. “The BB Series has been a staple on Tour for over two decades because players trust it when it matters most. Matt proved that again on Sunday.”

Fitzpatrick’s victory moves him to being ranked #3 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and adds to Bettinardi’s record of more than 100 professional victories worldwide. The BB Series is available now at bettinardi.com and through authorized retailers.
