Hawai‘i Island, Hawaii – Mauna Lani Golf’s award-winning South Course will reopen for play on Friday, November 6th, while the beautiful Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection will reopen to guests on Sunday, November 15th.
With Hawai‘i now allowing U.S. mainland travelers to travel to the Hawaiian islands, with a negative COVID-19 test taken and received within 72 hours of travel, Mauna Lani Golf will begin slowly reopening operations. Beginning November 6th, the South Course, which is ranked among the top 15 “Best Courses You Can Play in Hawaii” by Golfweek, will be open for play Wednesday through Sunday, with tee times available from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mauna Lani’s Wiki Wiki Short Course, golf practice facility and golf shop will reopen on Thursday, November 5th. Tee times can be made for the South Course at www.MaunaLaniGolf.com. Details on when Mauna Lani’s North Course will reopen will be shared at a later date.
“We are thrilled to reopen and get back to golf at Mauna Lani,” said Chris Noda, director of golf, Mauna Lani Golf. “In other markets, golf is seeing a nice resurgence in rounds played, in part because it can be played outside and in amazing locations. Hawai‘i Island and our stunning South Course at Mauna Lani certainly qualify as an amazing locale. We look forward to sharing the spirit of Aloha and the joy of the game of golf with guests once again.”
Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection will welcome guests back to its expansive beach, open-air dining options, and many outdoor activities. The Resort’s new Journey Package provides guests with a $1,000 resort credit to use towards resort experiences, dining, spa, tennis and golf.
Hawaii has begun its pre-travel testing program, providing travelers an alternative to the 14-day quarantine. Mauna Lani has made the testing process easy and is pleased to collaborate with Vault Health to provide travelers with a safe, fast and easy testing experience in the luxury of their own home. To prepare for their visit, travelers should review Mauna Lani’s Hawaii Travel – Testing Guide and follow this step-by-step process:
- Create a Safe Travels account with the state of Hawaii.
- When traveling from the mainland, no more than 72 hours before your boarding time to Hawaii Island (KOA or ITO), take a COVID-19 test from one Hawaii’s Trusted Partners.
- 24-hours before boarding, log into your Safe Travels account and fill out the Travel Health Questionnaire. You’ll create a “trip” for each leg of your journey within Hawaii with a corresponding QR code.
- Arrive to KOA or ITO and show corresponding QR code. You’ll have your temperature taken and receive a second, rapid COVID-19 test, paid for by Hawaii Island.
- Enjoy your stay on Hawaii Island
