Mexico Open Victory Leads Three-Tour Success for Softspikes

November 4, 2026

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Softspikes celebrated victories across the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and LPGA Tour this weekend, headlined by a commanding five-shot win at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open, where 31 of the top 39 finishers trusted replaceable spikes.

The Mexico Open champion secured his first individual PGA TOUR title wearing adidas golf shoes fitted with adidas ThinTech Max spikes. A closing 2-under-par 69, featuring three consecutive birdies on the back nine, sealed his victory at Vidanta Vallarta.

On PGA TOUR Champions, the Simmons Bank Championship winner produced a dramatic birdie-eagle finish to claim his first title on the tour wearing FootJoy golf shoes fitted with Pulsar spikes. His final-round 64 secured a one-shot victory at Pleasant Valley Country Club and earned him a place in the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Pulsar spikes were also part of the winning combination at the LPGA Tour’s Maybank Championship, where the champion successfully defended her title wearing New Balance golf shoes. A closing 68 secured a two-shot victory at 22-under-par, completing a weekend of success for Softspikes across three major tours.

“From a five-shot victory in Mexico to a dramatic finish on PGA TOUR Champions and a successful title defense on the LPGA Tour, it was another outstanding weekend for players competing in our products,” said Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes. “Seeing 31 of the top 39 finishers in Mexico choose replaceable spikes also speaks to the confidence players place in the traction and stability they provide.”

The three victories added to a season in which players wearing replaceable spikes have delivered tournament wins every week, reinforcing their place in the equipment choices of the world’s leading golfers.

Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
