ELMSFORD, N.Y. – The Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) is pleased to announce a multi-year extension with Lexus as the “Official Vehicle” of the MGA and the MGA Foundation.
Serving as an official partner of the MGA since 2012, Lexus has supported various MGA championships, special programming, and event activations, allowing the MGA to further strengthen its membership offerings and events. The luxury brand has sponsored a series of Introduction to Women’s Golf clinics since 2017, providing a stress-free welcome to the game for new golfers. In 2024, the clinic series will expand to provide more opportunities for women throughout the Met Area.
The MGA and Lexus introduced the Lexus Long Drive Championship in 2021, the only long drive championship hosted by a regional golf association. The event has grown in popularity amongst local amateurs with divisions for men, women, seniors, and juniors, and returns to the Bethpage Polo Fields in October 2024.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Lexus,” said Brian R. Mahoney, MGA Executive Director/CEO. “Lexus remains a valued partner whose support allows us to further enhance programming, provide more access, and expand opportunities for MGA members, both on and off the golf course.”
In addition to supporting events, Lexus will continue to provide exciting opportunities for MGA members, including exclusive offers and sweepstakes, as well as on-course activations such as hole-in-one contests at select MGA championships and special events.
“As a longstanding partner, The New York Lexus Dealer Association is proud to support and celebrate the continued growth of MGA programming,” said John Mineweaser, Lexus Eastern Area General Manager. “We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together over the next three years for its members.”
