Midlothian Country Club Names Tom Ahern as New General Manager
Midlothian, IL – Midlothian Country Club announces Tom Ahern has been named as the club’s new General Manager. In his role, Ahern will work directly with Midlothian’s Board of Directors and will be responsible for leading the club’s management team.
Tom is a 25-year club, professional sports and hospitality operations professional who has held the following positions of responsibility throughout his career: Regional General Manager for multiple clubs in the upstate New York area, General Manager/CEO of a private club in upstate NY, and Vice President of Operations for the Buffalo Sabres. Included in Tom’s vast club experience is his specialty in the area of food & beverage operations. Ahern is certified through the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

Established in 1898 and the first privately owned club south of Chicago, Midlothian Country Club offers 18 holes of picturesque golf that challenge a wide range of golfers with varying skill levels, extensive practice facilities and a robust caddy program. Steeped in tradition and history, the club has served as the site for many amateur and professional tournaments through the years, including the 1914 U.S. Open during which Walter Hagen defeated Chick Evans to win the first of his 11 major championships.

Amenities also include well- appointed meeting, banquet and dining private event space that can accommodate up to 300.
